Hyaluronic Acid Serum with Tranexamic Acid

This is an ultra hydrating hyaluronic acid serum with a unique whitening complex like Marine Plankton Extract, Tranexamic Acid, Tetrapeptide, Highly Stable Active C, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) and Panthenol (Vitamin B5). It targets uneven skin tone, photo-aging, dullness, hyperpigmentation, dehydration and sun spots.

About Marine Plankton Extract:
This marine ingredient acts on various stages of melanin production and deposition in the skin to improve luminosity and decrease visibility of hyperpigmented areas to even out the skin tone. This extract has a brightening effect and homogenizes skin complexion by reducing melanin content, size and contrast of dark spots.

In Vivo Test on Volunteers

22 Asian female volunteers (38-53 years old) with hyper-pigmented regions in skin applied a cream with 2% plankton extract or a placebo cream twice a day for 8 weeks.

  • Applied at 2% in vivo, provided brightness by increasing luminance (L*) (2.5%) and individual topological angle (ITA) (15.3%), and decreased contrast of dark spots by 12.7%, leading to a great improvement in evenness.
  • The treatment shrank the area of dark spots (6.9%) and decreased their melanin content by 61.1%.

About Tranexamic Acid:
In recent times, tranexamic acid (TA) is claimed to have whitening effects especially for ultraviolet-induced hyperpigmentation including melasma. The aim of our study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of topical solution of TA and compare it with combined solution of hydroquinone and dexamethasone as the gold standard treatment of melasma in Iranian women. This study's results introduce the topical TA as an effective and safe medication for the treatment of melasma.

This serum is an oil free formula with silky smooth texture for all skin types.
